Especially when combined with a quest to partake of the many Catalonian specialties prepared by the world class chefs here, an immersion via tasting the mind blowing wines is an epicurean traveler’s dream trip.
THE ITINERARY
DAY 1 - THURSDAY, MAY 15
BENVINGUTS!

Afternoon arrivals to BCN Airport and transfer to the stunning Gran Hotel Mas d’en Bruno in Priorat, located just a two-hour scenic drive from Barcelona.
Orientation tasting in the hotel wine cave
Begin your journey into Priorat with a well curated tasting led by The Vines’ wine expert, Marie Von Ahm. Discover the region’s fascinating history, unique terroir, and iconic wines in the hotel’s atmospheric wine cave.
Welcome dinner at the hotel restaurant Vinum
We’ll go upstairs for an al fresco dinner at the hotel’s acclaimed restaurant Vinum, featuring a menu inspired by the region’s freshest local ingredients. Joining us will be one of our favorite winemakers, Sara Perez, who will guide us through her celebrated wines from Mas Martinet and Venus Vineyards while offering insights into her passion for the craft.
DAY 2 - FRIDAY, MAY 16
PAELLA PICNIC & PERFUME
Private tour and tasting at Terroir al Limit
Kick off your Priorat experience at one of the region’s finest: our winemaking partner Terroir al Limit. Winemakers Dominik and Tatjana will walk you through their innovative approach to crafting elegant, fresh Grenache- and Carignan-based wines that redefine the region’s style.
Paella picnic in the vineyard
Hop into 4x4s to explore the steep vineyards en route to La Morera, where you’ll enjoy a picturesque picnic including some of the world’s best Iberian jamón, freshly prepared paella, and wines from Terroir al Limit’s Montsant project, surrounded by breathtaking views.
Return to the hotel for The Perfume Experience
Engage your senses in this one-of-a-kind olfactory adventure led by Ernesto Collado. Explore the aromas of the local landscape and gain a deeper appreciation for how scent enhances wine tasting.
Rest and relaxation
Unwind back at the hotel before the evening’s festivities.
Traditional Catalan dinner at winemaker favorite Brot’s
Dine like a local at Brot’s, a beloved winemaker’s retreat in the charming village of Poboleda. Enjoy a thoughtfully curated seasonal menu paired with wines from a special guest winemaker.
DAY 3 - SATURDAY, APRIL 5
BLENDING & PASO COMMUNITY SPIRIT
Blending session with our partner Juan Mercado
Step into the creative world of Juan Mercado, one of Paso Robles’ most innovative winemakers and one of our newest partners. He’ll guide you through a tasting of base wines, Rhone varietals and Tempranillo blends sourced from his favorite vineyards. Under Juan’s expert tutelage, you’ll craft your very own blend, perfectly tailored to your palate and reflective of the Paso Robles terroir.
Lunch in downtown Paso Robles
Pause for a relaxed lunch at another local favorite in Paso’s charming downtown. This meal will be perfectly paired with wines from nearby vineyards, celebrating the community’s vibrant culinary and winemaking traditions.
Private tasting at Linne Calodo winery
Discover this boutique gem known for saying their wines are “dictated by Mother Nature”. Each one has a fascinating name with a story behind it. Tiny amounts are made and, after a delicious catered lunch, we will have the privilege of tasting through their Rhône-style blends.
Rest and relaxation
Enjoy some downtime to unwind. Take a leisurely walk or bike ride or simply relax at the hotel.
Pizza party at Juan Mercado’s winery
Our last evening promises to be a delightful one – we’ll convene at Juan Mercado’s winery, where we’ll feast on wood-fired pizzas paired with exceptional wines from Juan’s private cellar. Expect a festive atmosphere as some of Juan’s winemaker friends stop by, bringing their own special bottles to share. It’s the perfect way to wrap up our time together, celebrating in true Paso Robles style with great food, incredible wine and warm company.

How to arrive
The closest airport is San Luis Obispo (SLO – approximately 2.5 hours by car) but guests can also fly into San Jose (SJC – 2 hrs 45 mins by car) or LAX (3 hrs 40 minutes by car). The Vines can help arrange transfers (not included in the trip cost) from any of these airports to the hotel.
