An hour’s drive south from the city of Mendoza, the Uco Valley’s high altitude, dry climate and long growing season make it an international destination for wine lovers. With warm days and breezy nights, this stretch of high desert draws water from the Andean snowmelt to produce wines famous for their rich aromas and bold flavor. The sub-region of Los Chacayes and its intense, rocky soil create an ideal site for experimentation. Here vineyards cultivate and blend over 30 different grape varietals, including the iconic Malbec, classic Bordeaux grapes like Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, along with Mediterranean varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre.

WINEMAKING IN MENDOZA
We open our vineyards to members, inviting them to prune vines, harvest grapes and create their own unique small-batch wines. Working closely with a team led by our master winemaker Pablo Martorell and legendary consulting winemaker Santiago Achàval, we lend our expert guidance to each step of the process, helping members create bespoke wines that capture their personal experience and tastes.
From blending to label design, experts like sommelier Mariana Onofri will give you the guidance that’s led our members’ wines to win more than 175 international awards and medals.
ARGENTINE CULTURE
The Vines Resort & Spa, named Best Hotel in Argentina by Travel & Leisure, was created to share the best of Mendoza with travelers from around the world. Our visitors are invited to experience an authentic glimpse of life in the Uco Valley, hiking, cycling, fly fishing and going on Gaucho-style horseback rides through the vineyards. At night, members dine at our signature restaurant, Siete Fuegos, the Uco Valley home of legendary Argentine chef Francis Mallmann.
Other activities include visiting a number of family-run wineries throughout the Uco Valley, taking an empanada-making class and eating a delicious asado feast among the vines.
